He had gone to Cambridge and was home for a visit I believe and then his dad passed suddenly and he had to assume all the roles of the viscount. So youβre absolutely right about the ingrained trauma from that experience. In the book he is convinced that he canβt possibly live longer than his father did either. And this season is pretty much the definition of a slow burn. It is exquisite in itβs torture and tension. Really enjoying these season 2 reactions so far. Thanks so much! Also, Iβm not sure how it would work in terms of the structure of your reactions, but would you guys ever consider reacting to a book or audiobook? Just curious.
