Loved the reaction guys. I know it's been mentioned a couple times but I'll add my shout out for Love, Victor too. Hope you get a chance to watch it sometime!

The movie is based on the book, 'Simon Versus the Homo Sapian Agenda'. It's funny that you guys were able to even pick up Garrett since you knew the actor. In the book, he is in it a lot more. In the book, it's the same friend group but Garrett and Bram hang out with them a lot at school since Nick, Garrett, and Bram are all on the soccer team together. Bram is also never thought to be Blue in the book by Simon, but he's in it a lot more so you learn a lot about him without really realizing it. Also, in the book, there is no audience at the end. It's just Simon and Bram right as the carnival is closing and everyone else had left already.

This reaction/watchalong was such a serotonin boost. Thrilled you guys finally got to check this out! Some fun facts: 1. All 3 of the guys who played as Blue (or Possible Blues) have come out since this movie's filming wrapped. So some very cool representation. The director was also gay and a lot of the other players in the movie both in front of the camera and behind the scenes are LGBTQ. 2. In the book, the guy that Miles (AKA 13RW Alex) plays is actually bi and asks Simon out when they talk but gets gently turned down because Simon knows he loves Blue specifically. They obviously didn't include that, but I do think there are some subtle hints that Cal is still bi and could be into Simon in the movie. 3. In the subsequent book (which is not a movie, so no big worry there), Leah actually comes out as bi, too. In the books, she does find love. 4. While Martin is the actual worst, Logan Miller, the guy who plays him, seems very cool and has been in a ton of stuff. He and Miles Heizer actually were in another movie together, along with a bunch of other familiar faces, called "The Stanford Prison Experiment". He also I think was briefly on Walking Dead. 5. Some of the moments of the friend group just having fun, like when they're dancing in the car at the end, were supposedly just unscripted moments of the cast having fun not realizing the cameras were still rolling 6. I'm sure y'all know but I always think it's worth mentioning that this was the first ever film made by a major Hollywood studio to have a gay teenage lead character. Also, the Love Simon soundtrack is so good. Some of the stand out songs you guys noticed are "Alfie's Song", "Rollercoaster" and "Wild Heart" which are all by Bleachers. That song Zuff pointed out when they were going into the carnival is "Wings" by HAERTS I think. And this comment is beyond long enough, so I'll just say thank you guys for the warm reception to this one. You guys have done a great job always in general but especially with making the channel feel safe for everyone. That goes a long way.

“You get to exhale now” is when those waterworks come. What a beautiful response of comfort that must have been for him.

The parents' speeches get me every damn time 😭❤

I hope that you guys tune into Ginny and Georgia at some point. I think you will really enjoy the show. It’s really good! x

My only problem with this movie is literally just Martin, he's like actually a despicable human being with no redeeming qualities.
