After crashing the party, Anthony speaks from the heart in another attempt at securing Edwina's interest. Eloise meets an interesting boy during her investigation of Lady Whistledown, and Lady Danbury gives Kate some much needed advice. I don’t agree he was in love W/ Sienna lol he never said it and he never acted like it. She was someone he needed to “feel” something other than just being a responsible Viscount. Sienna needing him for him & not his status was what he desperately didn’t want to let go of. He did not love her lol bc if he did he would have treated her w/ the respect he treated Kate.

You know, people who are afraid of relationships (like we know Anthony to be) tend to fall for unavailable people who they cannot really have a future with. I know it from experience. It is, in the end of the day, trauma. Let's not spoil it for the guys, though ;)

2023-02-02 11:58:09 +0000 UTCSIenna was more of a distraction for Anthony . He cared about her, but I don't think he was in love with her. It was about running away and escaping his duty. Every time we saw them together, it was about Anthony avoiding a duty of his or Anthony wanting to escape from something difficult that was happening. Sienna cared about Anthony as well, but she had a better understanding of what their relationship was built on than he did. Anthony didn't want to admit what their relationship truly was until their final scene in episode 8 when Sienna broke it down to him. Jonathan Bailey, who plays Anthony, said Anthony always knew deep down his relationship with Sienna was doomed, but it was one of the ways that Anthony punished himself .

I think it helps that you watched S02 directly after S01 and can still remember how heartbroken he was after Siena ultimately left him. His wanting to avoid love, to me at least, is totally understandable - he still hasn't gotten over the last time he was in love. Do you agree - was he in love with Siena? You are in for one hell of a ride! Keep paying attention to the small details - they make this season as great as it is! You have more than enough emotional intelligence to appreciate them and I am enjoying your reactions all the more for that ^_^
