He isn’t doing this out of the “kindness of his heart”, I wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes one of the main villains in S4 lol. That being said, he did come in clutch at the end. Something is telling me JJ isn’t going to pay him 10x more like he promised though 💀

She also said that originally it was scripted that Ward backed off the cliff accidentally and that’s how he died but Charles said he wanted it to be more of a self sacrifice.

He probably got to see first hand what jj's childhood was like and knew how much of an abusive asshole his only parental figure was and like doesnt want to just give up on him (plus he could get a lot of money if jj comes through with the gold so theres some incentive). Also sidenote, im sad pope wasnt the one to find the treasure.

And also just the fact that they’re all now in positions of wealth is gonna be super interesting to see play out next season. This finale definitely gave me some major national treasure vibes idk
