Added 2023-02-23 23:17:37 +0000 UTCHello everybody, it is time again to vote for our next Movie Night! This week you all picked Thriller (one of our favorites) and we could not be more excited to see what movie you guys decide on!
Unfortunately there were several movies recommended that 2/3 or all of us have already seen so they were not included on the poll. Hush, Split, Get Out

2023-02-24 21:42:48 +0000 UTCLooks like Promising Young Woman it is! In 2021 it won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay (written by Emerald Fennell, who also directed the film), and it was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress. So looking forward to the reaction!

2023-02-24 21:41:44 +0000 UTCI’ve heard it’s good and would love to see it. Hopefully they will get around to it someday.

2023-02-24 21:35:34 +0000 UTCThat is, hands down, the most perfect description of Prisoners, I've ever seen XD
Dead Set On Dreams
2023-02-24 21:27:43 +0000 UTCMy mom got me to watch this by simply saying “it’s got more twists than a candy cane” and that sold me - so glad I watched!! I was on the edge of my seat and holding my breath for so much of that movie omg. Absolutely fantastic film.

2023-02-24 21:06:13 +0000 UTCI saw Disturbia in theaters when it came out, it was so good. I saw it a few times back then. But it's been quite awhile since I've seen it again. I would love to revisit it, I remember liking it very much and it was such a unique concept at the time it came out ☺️

2023-02-24 17:07:56 +0000 UTCits not rlly a big deal to me 🤷🏽♀️ i can watch the movie before they do if it wins. i watched dwd and havent watched the rest so i dont really mind which one wins, pyw is the one ive heard the most about

2023-02-24 16:22:44 +0000 UTCi haven't seen it in it's entirety either, just clips, but i know i know all the details of the movie, the ending, and how impactful it is and want to see their reaction and discussion. i'd also feel more comfortable watching the thing in its whole through a reaction and not just on my own, so that's my mindset of having voted for it when i haven't seen it

2023-02-24 10:21:36 +0000 UTCThis poll shows how many people have either not seen Prisoners or not heard of it. My dad and I randomly found it on television one day and it was phenomenal. An all-star cast whom Reel-Time would actually recognize most of. They are all A-listers. I was shocked I'd never heard about it before we randomly found it. But I've never been more stressed throughout a film in my entire life. It is the best example of an actual real-life nightmare that people have to, unfortunately, go through sometimes. Even if what's depicted hasn't happened to you directly, this film will make you feel as though you are going through it with each character through realistic depictions of it. It is nothing short of brilliant. Another film for me to wish would win, but it will probably lose each poll to all the newer films, it's a shame. The Sixth Sense and Disturbia are also great but of course, again they are older so their sadly losing.
Dead Set On Dreams
2023-02-24 09:29:52 +0000 UTCTo clarify more originally the male lead was Shia LaBeouf. Olivia Wilde claimed that she fired him because of his attitude and she "Didn't want him to corrupt Florence Pugh." She acted as if Florence Pugh was "uncomfortable with him being around." Which was a complete lie. She then cast her boyfriend at the time Harry Styles as the lead role to replace Shia LaBeouf. What actually happened was Shia LaBeouf quit because production was unorganized and he and Florence Pugh the female lead literally could not find time to even rehearse together. Shia literally produced "receipts" of conversations between him and Florence being extremely professional and trying to make scheduling work. And conversations between him and Olivia where he formally quit and she begged him to come back. She lied to make Shia seem like a complete jerk because of his previous reputation and to make herself seem like a helpless victim. While throwing Florence Pugh in the mix. Florence Pugh also didn't appreciate Olivia Wilde and Harry Style's relationship during filming because they frequently hung out together instead of filming and being professional about the entire situation. So even though Harry was the new lead, she hardly even saw him to rehearse as well because he and Olivia were always off somewhere. But Florence gave that performance her all like a true professional and I frequently see people saying her acting in the film is the "only good thing about it."

2023-02-24 09:11:39 +0000 UTCCurious why you voted for a film you haven't even seen yourself? Have you not seen any of the choices on the list so you just picked one at random?

2023-02-24 09:01:30 +0000 UTCPromising Young Woman is great but... check the trigger warnings for anyone who want to watch it, it's disturbing ( that's the point though ). Honestly I'd be fine with any movie winning besides Don't worry darling lol

2023-02-24 06:33:07 +0000 UTColivia wilde was kinda being a weirdo about things, and there was some drama involvng her and florence i think....and then everyone collectively lost their entire shit over a camera angle of what looked like harry styles spitting on chris pine at the premier. i think internet talk made the whole thing seem messier than it actually was but who knows lol

2023-02-24 05:55:10 +0000 UTCIt was just a bunch of random drama and Olivia Wilde who is a side character also directed it and I think she slept with Harry styles who starred in it which caused drama on set allegedly which made Florence Pugh not promote the movie at all or care about the promo tour and then there was Chris pine looking annoyed with Harry every time he spoke in interviews Just a lot of like very petty dumb stuff that for whatever reason affected how people watched the movie

2023-02-24 04:08:54 +0000 UTCIt's not the easiest movie to watch. But it's good...it's a ride.

2023-02-24 04:04:48 +0000 UTCNot surprised people are having a strong reaction to don't worry darling but honestly I think if you just watch it to have fun and watch Florence Pugh be pretty and out act everyone and ignore the internet controversy it's not bad. Plus oogum boogum is soooo good

2023-02-24 04:04:41 +0000 UTCnever watched promising young woman but it gets my vote 🤞🏾 ill be checking it out since its loved in these comments haha

2023-02-24 03:59:38 +0000 UTCDamn it probably won’t win but Prisoners would be such a good choice!! I definitely would not recommend DWD… and promising young woman is ok but I feel like Prisoners would be a great switch up! But it’s in fourth so it probably won’t win, which sucks. It’s such a good thriller
