This show absolutely ruined me. I stared at my ceiling for a solid 10 mins before moving when it was over. Just also want to mention how much this show does the book justice. So good it was almost line for line from the book at some points. Also not sure if anyone mentioned this, but Paul gifted Daisy, Connell’s necklace at the end of filming🥹

I loved watching your reactions to this show. Daisy and Paul are very close friends. They are also close with the actors that played Peggy and Jamie. They all went to Coachella together, hang out in London together etc. Fun fact. Daisy posted a pic of her and Paul dressed up as Fleabag and Hot Priest this past Halloween 2022. They are both cast is multiple big parts, Paul was also just nominated for a Olivier award for “A Streetcar Named Desire” on the London Stage. They both deserve all the praise and recognition. Great actors.

When I saw you were doing Normal People I had to join your Patreon just to support you guys. Thanks for walking along side us as we revisit the heartache and beauty that is Connell & Marianne. They both need to grow individually and heal their own trauma. But they are drawn to each other and have such a strong bond and deep love for one another that one can’t help but feel they’ll come together again. And be the stronger for it. The great thing about this show and the ending is that it's all a matter of your personal perspective. If your perspective is that the universe is constantly working against Marianne and Connell to pull them apart then the ending is a solemn but expected one. However, if your perspective is that despite all of the trials and hurdles they face in life, the universe is always drawing them back together then the ending is a bitter-sweet, hopeful one with a promise of them reuniting. It's very clever.

Such a heart breaking finale, but also very realistic, as you guys said. I definitely can attest that moving to an unfamiliar place on your own can be really hard when everything you knew is somewhere else. I appreciated Paul Mescal’s portrayal of someone with heavy anxiety, bc that’s such a real thing for so many and it was beautifully done. Both main characters felt so real and relatable…and that is what elevates this type of show and story telling. It was great to watch along with you guys ✌️
