Hello everybody!

My wife and I have returned from our yearly vacation. Disney World remains an absolute blast (if you can handle crowds and shmaltz). My favorite ride is still Tower of Terror, and we discovered the joys of festival fare at Epcot Germany's Biergarten (the band plays one of those horns used in the Ricola cough drop commercials 🤩).

The same day we got back, the RWA announced the winners of the Diamond Heart awards. Alas, His Orc Charioteer Bride did not win, and will remain a finalist. Happily, I meant it when I said I was thrilled just to make it to the top four. It was great visibility for me as an author and for the RFM community as a whole. 😊

Also, I did notch a couple of clear wins at Disney. I was chosen to lead the elephant section during the Festival of the Lion King, and I didn't throw up on the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster. 💪🤢

And now the news you've all been waiting for: yes, I did write most of a short story! It was written on my phone while we were waiting in lines and at the resort in the evenings. As soon as it's ready, my line fiction (now titled "Swipe Fright") will go up in its entirety right here. Should only be a day or so! Oh, and I made sure to include hidden references to the rides I was waiting in line for while writing certain sections.

It's good to be home.
