This movie was truly heartbreaking. Goes to show you there are no bounds to a parents love for their child. There was a lot left out of the movie that was in the book. Beautiful Boy was based on the book written by the father and there is also Tweak written by the son.

He had a really tough birth and was in NICU for a week and the fear of losing him was so intense it was unbearable. Then watching this.. the potential to lose them to something completely different as they get older. My god I went full Bryce watching it it broke my fucking heart. The acting, the soundtrack, everything was phenomenal and soul destroying and uplifting all in one.

I think it really helps that it was based on a true story and the son and dad helped with the process of making the movie. I watched a little behind the scenes thing on it awhile back. So glad to see your reactions and to hear your thoughts on it.

2023-04-18 14:26:48 +0000 UTCI lost my dad two months ago. he didn't know he was sick. but turns out he had cancer all over his body. in one month he was gone. this movie i saw it when it came out, and it made me reach out to my dad. he had not always been a good dad, but now i knew there was a reason, and he desperately wanted to be in my life. and we had some beautiful years together. we may not all have a dad like this on in the movie, but i am sure we have ONE person who we maybe can show more love to. never take people you love for granted. time is against us. i wish we all be there for the ones that matter ๐
