the interaction between melissa and miya's parents is so upsetting and it sucks that there are parents in real life who are so defensive when it comes to the possibility of their child having any kind of disability or learning difficulties. like if i was a parent i would take it so seriously and i would do whatever to help my child, just arguing with their teacher and ignoring the problem is absolutely beyond me.

She is teaching 10 additional students from the 3rd grade (a 3rd grade curriculum), in addition to her normal 2nd grade class.. Okay, now that I think about it, maybe the 3rd graders should not have competed. At least they gave pizza to ALL of the students. Also, Janine running away from Melissa.. down the hall. LOL
