Heartstopper Episode 5 EXTRA Early Access/Watchalong

Comments

For me, the ultimate 'sincerity test' for a Heartstopper reaction series is how the creators react to Nick's gift in this episode. Needless to say, you guys passed with flying colors.

Fun fact as well, at 10:17 the book Isaac is holding is another novel written by Alice Oseman (creator of the original graphic novels) called "Radio Silence".

It really is teeny bopper normal people isn't it?! Haha. Me and my older sister are in our early 30s and our little sister is 18 and we LOVED normal people, it was stuck in our souls for ages but my little sister felt the same about this. It's fascinating how your age just makes you relate to different levels of relationships! Both are wonderful:)

Kdog

love that you guys are watching teeny bopper normal people after watching regular normal people

Erin Murray

The collective "AWWWW" after Charlie opened Nick's gift made me smile so much! :D

also yes in the uk a lot of people wear their age on a badge when it's their birthday, i didn't realise that it was mainly a big thing over here i'm surprised you guys didn't seem to know much about it

Tia Lily

this is one of my fave episodes omg, i can't tell you how bad i lost my shit when charlie opened his present and it was a picture of him and nick with nellie😭

Most of the actors are under 18 or around 18 in the show. They cast real teenagers for the most part. Charlie and Nick's actors are both under 18 in season 1.

“These boys, I just want the best for them.” Yes! That’s how I feel watching it…I just want those two sweet kids to be happy & protected ❤️ I also love how every reviewer jumps on Harry’s annoying but somehow hilarious way of speaking 🤣

Megan Brick

Oh I didn’t even know! Yas mentions Nick being the ‘straightest guy ever’ and it seems like as group, they have personal experience of falling for straight boys so even if he didn’t witness Ben he seems to think that Nick is straight and Charlie’s going to get hurt.

Danielle

He wasn’t there to witness Ben’s treatment of Charlie actually - Charlie never told any of his friends about their relationship. He only ever tells Nick, Mr Ajayi and Tori (and Nick is the only person who knows that it is Ben and the full extent of it). Tao’s protectiveness still makes sense though even without him knowing about Ben. It’s easy to fall into pack mentality when you’re a teenager, and Tao’s seen people like Nick behave very cruelly toward Charlie, but also Elle and even Tao himself.

Kat

Tao is bitchy but I understand his hostility towards Nick. He was there when Charlie was bullied and he was there to witness Ben’s treatment of Charlie. Charlie is incredibly insecure and a people pleaser who lets people walk all over him and Tao knows this so he rides extra hard for him. At the end of the day, he is protecting his friend and he doesn’t want Charlie to get caught up again on a boy he thinks ‘he can’t have’.

I love zuff sm. He just gives me ENERGY!!😂❤️
