Later we realize that he wanted Yeonjin to suffer more. He didn't want to let her go easy by just leaving her. He wants to her to feel his coldness and feel like she's being conspired againts by her inner circle, this driving her more unstable and desperate.

She thinks myeong-o was buried, but he still has the body. 3. It is the same girl, she is basically an indentured servant for the evil group. 4. I think Dong euns mom is trying to leverage the fact that her daughter works at a prestigious school, where wealthy parents send their kids; potentially undermining Dong Eun there
