2023-03-29 23:58:32 +0000 UTCThe bribe thing: there have been a lot of scandals in South Korea where teachers requested bribes in the form of expensive gifts from parents in order to secure their children's grades. Yeonjin got Dongeun's mom to request bribes from the moms. Remember the scene where she met with one of the moms in the cafe acting all crazy? The moms in turn figured that Dongeun must have send her mom to benefit from the bribes herself. The scene of Dongeun going through her own trash in the rain was when she found packaging signed "from so and so's mom". All those expensive things Dongeun's mom was celebrating were the gifts from the moms she requested. That's why Dongeun felt so devastated and betrayed.
