They were both quoting lines from that show and the beanie and fluffy white scarf are both items the ML wore in important scenes from the drama (not at the same time though lol). Also when Ju Meok was pulling the hat over his eyes while crying he was re-enacting a scene from a drama called Sad Love Story that the ML (who was also the ML in Stairway to Heaven) did which went viral and became a huge meme in S. 2023-04-11 22:37:43 +0000 UTCBTW Kdramas usually have a slow burn and low skinship but especially this couple has been keeping it quite chaste I think bc they are afraid to show too much affection/commitment bc they know the impending end - their love and relationship can never work bc he has to go back and they both know it, even if he wants to stay with her ๐ข (that's why his ring gesture and that scene was so sweet!)

2023-04-11 16:50:04 +0000 UTC1) The translation "bunk off" was funny - what they said in Korean is the same as "play hooky". 2) N Korean soldier boys marveling at simple things like running tap water, electricity, and heat makes me kinda sad for their life (but also appreciative of what I have) but especially in this episode seeing Eun Dong enjoy such simple things like video games and a warm silly hat remind you he really is just a kid and that kinda makes me sadder (he's serving in the military and still has 9 years he said right?) Which also explains why he's the least experienced fighter (besides the rat - he's just a wire tapper so no real fighting skills (which also means he's probably not trained in weapons hint) P.S. the soldier squad backing Ri up all decked out in their suits is awesome, but I LOVE how in the extra scene they show their endless loyalty to Ri and Seri when they ask Ri to give them their orders and salute him in promise to keep her safe (which makes it especially sadder seeing their reaction to her getting shot!)
