Personally I don’t think itaewon class was bad or anything. I just prefer reacting to a show I haven’t seen everyone react to. I felt the same with crash landing on you. It was the first kdrama I ever watched and I really like it but I’ve seen so many people react to it that I hoped for something else. But the guys still gave a great reaction.

Seriously, this isn't the last drama they're watching. Why can't ppl simply vote for what they want without trashing the other options? I think ppl have misconceptions about it and missed the whole point of the show and hate on it bc of the fml or the racism scene. The whole point of the show was to shed light on the complex characters and what the Korean society would consider their traits as "flaws" and unacceptable in their society. It's about overcoming them and their growth. I thought it was very inspirational.

People get defensive over those they care about and when they feel their ideals or morals are being attacked. I understand. I think everyone, including myself, could use with taking a step back and taking a deep breath. Fair enough. I'll take it with a grain of salt. Just understand that people are allowed to be annoyed, angry, disappointed, and bored with the content that someone they're paying is creating. Being a fan doesn't mean you need to support everything they do. That's ok. Doesn't make you any less of a fan than someone who loves everything they do. I'm happy you see value in continuing to spend your money on them. You don't get to judge people who don't. You clearly don't like people judging you on how much money you have or how you spend it either. So accept that not everyone is going to be happy and will and can find other ways to support their faves. Just like how you can express your annoyance with people being upset, they're also allowed to express their opinions on what they do and don't like.

I don’t have money lying around to spend on anything and I decided to use some of my money to support them through Patreon. but that has nothing to do with what I said. There's nothing wrong with not wanting to watch a show you don't like. And you and others like you don't get to gatekeep how someone likes or supports others. Not everyone wants to spend or has the extra money to spend on things that don't benefit them. I watch reactors who I connect with, whether in taste for games and shows or mentally with how they analyze or touch on difficult topics. I don't unfortunately have money just floating around for me to drop on things though, that I don't get that connection from. But just because some people don't support them monetarily doesn't mean that they aren't going to continue to support them. There's still youtube, and many, including myself, have said they'll come back when something has changed. You people need to understand that you can be a fan without monetary support. Congrats on others for being able to freely afford spending money however they want or loving all the shows they watch and finding that connection. Not everyone is like you, and that's ok. And it's ok to express that as well. No one is guilt tripping them. Saying 'you've lost fans' or 'I'm never coming back again' or 'I'm leaving unless you change your mind', that can be considered guilt tripping. Saying 'I'm going to leave for now and check back later for a different show' is not guilt tripping.

I think those are reason enough to say it’s similar. Yes 2521 has a more inspirational vibe in a different time setting but it’s still similar to the coming of age, falling in love, sports/school aspects. Just wanted to introduce something totally different to them this time. Don’t misunderstand, I like this show a lot. Like it a lot better than WBFKBJ.

2521 is not a romcom, it’s more about the main character focusing on pursuing her dreams and growing. i cried to this drama and honestly decided to pick up fencing because of it. the OST is this on my playlist after watching the drama. you should check it out before making an assumption like that

weightlifting fairy was funny very modern in how most romantic kdramas go. but 2521 is inspirational, keeps you on your toes, and has you connecting with the characters. they feel more real than the characters in Weightlifting fairy (don’t get me wrong, it’s still one of my favorite kdramas)

Romcom = romantic comedy. 2521 (which I haven't seen) is not a romcom. It is a romantic drama. It is not the same thing. Also, have you heard the guys say they don't like romantic movies? My dramas (Flower of Evil and Sweet Home) didn't get picked from the last poll but I'm pretty sure this poll is because these two dramas had the highest number of votes so I'm not sure why there's confusion. Splitting them into genres may or may not work. It's been proven numerously on this channel that if a comedy or some other genre wins, we'd end up watching a romcom or a romance with a hint of that other genre. It'd be especially harder since Korean dramas and movies tend to jam-pack all the various genres into one show/movie lol

Oh my goodness, why do these Kdrama posts always bring the most drama. Perhaps someone can clear this up for me: weren't the shows in the last poll the shows the guys chose themselves to be in the poll based on their new system of choosing (not based on popular vote)? It seeemed to be a mix of shows from the last poll and other shows that have come up in suggestions. I just assumed there were already making decisions on their own on what to include in polls like they were doing in the movie polls.

What would be an interesting shake up is if they took the most voted for and the least voted for in the polls and watched those each time. Also separating the polls in to genres would be a great idea as well.

Some people are so feral and need to chill. It's really not that big of a deal. Some people patiently waited months for either of these shows to make it up this high in a poll. I harped about Itaewon since January like others have harped about 2521. So the other shows will eventually get their turn. No need to be disrespectful towards the guys' selections and everyone else's votes by being hateful in the comments just because your favorite didn't win this time around. These are both great shows in their own aspect and rightfully this high up in the polls for those reasons. In blunt terms, STOP SHITTING ON THEM.

exactly!! right now, i don't like either of these two options, but i'm voting with the one i would rather them do slightly over the other one. but i'm not thrilled those are the only two options. i'd rather them toss up some others as well just to see how they rank. sky castle for example, or a thriller/mystery. to me, a problem with the recent k-dramas that get the netflix hype is that they all seem very, very much the same. i'm crossing my fingers for something different the next go-around

I really wish you create one more tie breaker poll including 3rd and 4th. I feel like people are voting not for what they want but for what they would rather not watch at this point. If Goblin and Flower of Evil are in the poll, I think it might bring different results. To me those two are far superior than the current two in vote, in terms of quality and writing :(
