The guy crying for the dead princess is the dead princess' father, the crown prince George (Queen Charlotte's oldest son). This is actually what happened, she died while giving birth. It was a tragedy since she was the only legitimate royal grandchild at the time, so it was an actual crisis when she died because everyone expected her to become the future Queen.

2023-05-05 22:28:42 +0000 UTCGiven the title of the Princess Royal who died this episode and based on what the voiceover said, that would make her the daughter of Queen Charlotte's eldest son (it would then make sense that he was the one who was crying). So basically, the Queen's granddaughter and unborn great-grandchild died I believe. Remember that she birthed 15 kids (13 are still alive), so her oldest child might be about 15 years older than her youngest and could already have an adult child of their own. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
