Thank you. I was getting a little impatient with their lack of empathy. Life isn’t as easy for everyone. His family is in debt. He has a family to support, a little brother who is still in school. It’s easy for them to say fuck the job. How else is he going to do what he likes AND get paid for it. Even without his family, don’t the guys value a successful career? Yijin didn’t have his degree and got a rare opportunity for his dream job at a national tv station. You can live without love but u cannot love without living. It’s more impressive and attractive how serious he is about his job and not wanting to risk it. I stan a successful man.

I think the reason Yi-Jin was having internal conflict between his job and Hee-do was because he promised his family he would get a good job and reunite everyone. That’s been his goal from the beginning. Yi-Jin is in this weird situation where because he went to college for a while he’s over qualified for some jobs but not qualified enough for others. This news station is the only place willing to give someone with his level of educational a chance. So being with Hee-do and “being too close to the subject” is a bit of a problem because he can’t just quit this job.
