It feels like Syd is more committed to this than Carmy. I feel frustrated for her . And so glad Sugar is here ❤️

i think claire is "perfect" because we see her from carmy's eyes. not to mention mikey tried to set them up, so her connection to him might make carmy idealize her

yeah claire was giving very much 'written by a man manic pixie dream girl'. which is weird bc the other female characters are complex and well written so idk why claire felt so.. flat.. idk maybe we're judging too quickly she's only had a few scenes so far

I actually don’t mind Claire…I think she’s a good listener and it feels like her conversations with Carmy inspire him somewhat. Syd and Carmy have a great relationship toot though, where you just know they get each other and how they think. I lowkey ship Syd and Marcus lol.

i found claire to be so incredibly BORING and the chemistry with carmen just wasn’t the best… her first two scenes i was kinda into it it was flirty, cute, and fun i liked it, but then for the rest of the show i could not stand it i wasn’t feeling her i just found her so underwhelming and boring (and honestly slightly annoying).

Emily

I love that they gave us a glimpse into how she sees food and cooking. Because it's kind of the same as carmy. There was a montage in the first episode of the bear that showed similar pictures and food that I think was in his POV.

i don't think sydney was asking for a full-on discussion when it came to the wall. she just wanted to be kept in-the-know, which is understandable given that it's supposed to be a 50/50 partnership (or i guess 33/33/33 with jimmy lol). carmy's used to being the sole owner and all the decisions start and end with him so i get why he just went ahead with it and didn't think to shoot her a head's up. in this case, a quick "hey syd, the wall's f****d so it's gotta come down" would've probably been good enough, instead of her just walking into an even bigger demolition zone than she left.

@Kaela which does happen in real life. Some people reconnect years down the line and begin dating. What exactly is your point? It’s not an unfathomable premise, and it makes perfect sense for Carmy’s character. He doesn’t have much of a personal life to speak of, so Claire’s introduction worked perfectly because he isn’t the type to be going out on formal on dates to find a girlfriend. The fact that she has a connection to his past makes the match all the more appealing (at least to some of us).

I’ve tried to ship Carmy and Syd, but there are just zero romantic sparks there. Ultimately, I really appreciate the decision to keep their relationship platonic. On the other hand, I have noticed the chemistry between Syd and Marcus since last season.

Cindy S.

That was the point. It was just bad timing with Camry and the opening of the restaurant.

Monica

I agree. Claire feels like a high school / college - what-if crush.

Kaela

TBH, I always liked that Syd and Carmy’s relationship was platonic but this season I’ve been reading so many people think there’s something there. And there were a few scenes that made me question it and honestly idk who were supposed to ship anymore either

Ashley

I also don't care for Claire, but I can see how a woman would need to push Camry out of his comfort zone to have fun. I also liked that we got to experience the wall being knock down the same time Sydney did so we could have the same reaction as her.

Monica

I honestly can't tell if we're supposed to ship Sydney and Carmy or Sydney and Marcus.

Monica

Claire didn't have any appeal to me either. But I understand the writers wanting Carmy to have a relationship with a familiar face with someone who doesn't work at the restaurant. And she does helped Camry get out of his comfort zone throughout the season.

Monica

the scene and editing of Syd's ideas/trying food/childhood photos and the shot of the final dish had me locked IN. this season is another level fr—loved this reaction!

Kalley Lasola

The weakest part of this season was the Claire/Carmy dynamic for me. Their initial scene together was cute but they kinda lost me after that. Luckily everything outside of that particular storyline was able to make up for it.

Emily

Honestly I'm only 3 episodes into this season and I'm already stressed, lol. I LOVE seeing Nat more though she's great!!!! I'm not feeling Claire, she just seems wayyyy to pushy and a "Notice Me" type, also Carmy very clearly is not ready to jump into anything which is why he gave her a fake number so her trying to force her way into his life is putting me off, very stalkerish. Syd was right, they are partners in this so Carmy should have called her but I also kind of get Carmy's point too about there being nothing to discuss cuz the wall has to go. Can't wait to finish this season.

Nyeisha Melvina Clark

lol no I don’t ship them. Although I do think they’re platonic soul mates. I adore Syd and Carm’s relationship. Personally, I think Claire’s character is so one dimensional and boring and I just do not see the chemistry with Carmy at all.

Ashley

To all the non-Claire fans: Out of curiosity, do you ship Syd and Carmy? You don’t have to reply, just click the like button.

Cindy S.

I am not a Claire fan at all 😭 I kept wanting to skip all their scenes all season.

Ashley

I adore seeing Zuff rooting for Carmy and Claire. I’ve also been aboard the Carmy/Claire ship since their first scene and I love the addition of Claire this season. Bryce, I also hope we continue to see Carmy in group therapy. Not only because it gives us further insight into his mind, but because it’s a healthy depiction of going to therapy and talking to others about what’s on our mind.

Cindy S.

Oh you'll have fun rewatching it again. I've seen the season three times already.

Tosh

Green stuff looks like a basil oil

DP

I wish season 2 was available rn in Canada but I couldn’t help but spoil the episodes for myself to watch your reactions 😅

Jettah

Kasama, where Syd went first to try food, is the first Filipino restaurant in the world to get a Michelin star.

Tosh

I've never clicked something so fast. I'm addicted to this show and I need help.
