They decide that Jamie needs to revert back to being selfish at times and come up with a signal to let him know when to do so. Jamie is definitely my favorite character too. I was hating him at first but his character development is amazing

The only thing I wish was different with this reveal is the age gap between them. Yeah it’s so hard not to root for Jamie now… I love his growth! And I feel so much for Ted when he gets his panic attacks…I didn’t really think about how it could have been related to his son when I first watched this, but that’s a super good call. Makes so much sense.
