The heat it's getting is because the lead actor is a Qanon supporter

The last interaction with Richie and Carmy is heartbreaking. Especially given the fact that as Carmy is whipping out insult after insult Richie just keeps saying “I love you”. Don’t think I’ve ever been so attached to a piece of fiction like this. It’s absolutely phenomenal. On another note wanted to recommend The Sound of Freedom as a potential watch in the coming months. I Was curious after seeing that it beat out Indiana Jones at the box office and ended up watching it right after I saw the former. It’s was great and so poignant! And given the subject matter, they really handled it with grace. the heat it’s getting from the popular media is ridiculous. My heart broke eight different times watching it.

Would have probably not watched this show and I am so glad you introduced me to it. It is one of my favorites honestly maybe of all time, definitely up there for sure.

lmao yes I'm hopping in 🚗 I do have therapy tomorrow but I'm still coming 😄

In all the chaos that was episode 6, Unc had a sweet conversation with Tiff at the dinner table. Because of her pregnancy sickness, she sat down with a banana because that was all she thought she could hold down. Unc asked her if she ever had a chocolate covered banana. He recalled how his Father used to buy them for him when he was just a kid. The smell of the banana reminded him of his childhood and made him think of his Dad who had been gone for years. It was a poignant little scene. Richie in trying to be next level at the restaurant recalled that story and wanted to show Unc how much he was appreciated. It’s one of my favorite callbacks of the season. Another example of how much Richie has grown over the season.

I'm not sure if alot of people caught this but the song that started to play when Camry began to freak out because the food was cold was the same song in episode 7 (the one shot episode) of last season when the kitchen was in chaos. Also I think if Camry really wanted to get Claire back he could. He was stressed from being locked in the refrigerator and he could just explain what happened. I doubt he will though with how Camry is, but he didn't tear her down personally or insult her in anyway. And Claire knew the stress he was under with the restaurant opening.

Monica

I agree both Marcus and Carmy are emotional when they get angry. At least Camry said sorry when he flipped out on Sidney for the food being cold.

Monica

The season was such a parallel from the first. Season 1 the build up was about chaos until it caps off with a satisfying resolution.. Season 2 was just about giving every character a satisfying development and build up only to blow up in chaos in the end.

this episode was so fucked bro i couldn't stop crying lol. the scene between donna and pete when donna was like "i love them so much but i don't know how to show it and i don't know how to say sorry" hit so fucking close to me like i just broke (#mommyissuesgang😻). also the scene with carmy and richie in the freezer was such an oddly beautiful scene imo, and richie just constantly saying "i love you" to carmy while carmy was just cursing him out was so😭😭 get in everybody i'm taking us all to therapy🚗

That scene between Ritchie and Carmy was so heartbreaking. The way Ritchie just kept saying I love you, while Carmy was being horrible and calling him a leech and all of that, I was gutted. Also as much as I love Marcus, I am NOT OKAY with the way he blew up at Sydney just because she turned him down and I feel like they brushed past that a little too quickly for my liking, like I get it was a tense moment and we have seen the kitchen get hectic before with everybody yelling but something about this particular one didn't sit right with me, it felt way more vindictive than their usual hectic yelling in the kitchen. I guess it's cuz I know it stems from her turning him down. I hope if we get a 3rd season, we get more Berzatto family dinners, also for Nat and Carmy to fix things with their mom, especially Nat, she deserves it.

aw Rob, that was a tough scene for sure, you're a good dude and I love that you care so much about people

Sallie Grimes

Such an amazing show!! I’d also like to request the German show Dark! It’s really not talked about enough!

Natalie Concha

The chocolate banana was referring to a story Unc told about when his dad would take him to get a chocolate banana as a kid. I think it was back in ep 6 the family episode after Unc agreed to give Richie a job.

This show just feels so real. Like you guys mentioned the scenes would just bounce around making you laugh one second and feel sad or anxious the next. That’s one of the realest things about this episode. Everyone at the restaurant isn’t having the same experience. The guests have no idea whats going on in the kitchen and you might not know whats going on at someones table and what type of day their having or who is supposed to meet them for dinner and doesn’t show up. They did such a good job showing all types of emotions this episode.

I am so sad the reaction to bear is over. Every character held a special place in my heart and the development we got for our characters (Carmy gotta step out and learn about himself next season) I can’t wait for me

Thank youuuu

Sallie Grimes

both stuck in the cold broke my heart. i didn't notice that till now

AJ

If you notice, in earlier episodes, there are post-it notes everywhere and it's on Carmy's whiteboard to call the fridge guy. He's been ignoring it for 12 weeks at this point.

Tosh

You’re not alone Rob, the Pete & Donna scene got me too 🥺. What more can I say about this amazing show outside the obvious? 10 out of 10.

Emily

I effing love this show 😭

Ashley

the fact that donna cant come into the restaurant because she's already there in the form of him... </3

The parallels between both Donna and Carmy believing they are undeserving of love and good things. Both stuck in the cold. The generational trauma :(

Mykala

The chocolate banana was because he told Richie on the Christmas episode that his father would give him one and Richie remembered even with the craziness that happen that day. Just shows that Richie does listen and care about what people say
