They renovate the place and improve everything for the re-opening and things go super well! However, the food is lacking quality and it seems to be directly Hyun-Yi's fault. We also learn her story and the team does too which makes Saeroyi make a tough decision. At the end, Saeroyi and Soo-Ah are about to kiss and.... Oh, I 100% agree, which is why I am doing gymnastics to see her pov. lol Saeroyi forgives her too easily and she knows that, which is why she lied and said she did call the cops to prove to yiseo no matter what she does, he will always want her/have her back. She knows who she has to choose, but she also want to imagine that she can have Saeroyi too! It's so frustrating given all he has gone through to get where we are at ep. 5 and there is so much more to go!

100% agree with Stephanie above about Yiseo. I'll be the oddball and give Sooah some justification here. Like several of the characters in this show, Sooah definitely is a twisted and complex character. She said from the beginning that she would never live like Saeroyi and his dad, meaning she would never be sacrificing if it isn't to her advantage. Given her orphan background, her saying that she is "the most precious thing" to herself (which is probably all she learned to do growing up) is her ideology that she would choose herself over Saeroyi, even if it means supporting his enemy because of her ambitions (which is why she wouldn't give him a heads up or try to help him out of that circumstance of getting suspended). We saw how Chariman Jang indirectly pressured her to 'choose wisely' which is why she's torn between them and screamed that it's "so annoying" and even tried to push Saeroyi away. Not saying she was right to not give him a heads up for the girls calling the cops. She is twisted, but I don't hate her and can even understand her. Saeroyi knows what kind of a person she is and tells her that she's "trying her best for her own life" and loves her anyway.

SooAh might not have called the cops herself but she didn’t warn Saeroyi about his customers being minors and she didn’t even tell him that the cops were called on him for serving minors. To me that is just as bad. A lot of people are quick to say that Yiseo is rude and annoying. But you have to remember that she is a diagnosed sociopath (anti social personality disorder). She doesn’t feel empathy for others or gets emotionally attached to people unless they could be of use for her. Saeroyi is the first person she encountered that she wants to help without gaining anything for herself. She is trying to get the best result for Saeroyi. And while she does that she learns how to be a better person, because that’s what Saeroyi expects of her. She started slapping the bully because she a) caused Saeroyis Business harm and b) insulted Saeroyi. I believe that is what pushed her to that degree of violence. She is honestly one of my favourite characters and I feel like a lot of people don’t even try to understand her complexity.

Which drama^^

Now that Hyun Yi's 'identity' is revealed, I hope we can use her proper pronouns from now on. I know it might take some getting used to, but please try. This goes for everyone, even those saying the actress was playing a guy, which is incorrect since she's apparently identified herself as a women since before we met her on screen. Happy Pride everyone! <3

Which is cool that she has always been honest about who she is, but she is not a friend of Saeroyi and she shouldn’t say she is. Even if Saeroyi still gives her a chance, realistically a friend doesn’t do what she did.

Fiyin Cole

THIS. like yeah, she didn’t directly call the cops but she definitely could have stopped him from getting in trouble if she wanted to. she keeps complaining about feeling bad about the things she’s doing but never stops doing them. talk about annoying and toxic…

Nikki Sonrisa

Yeah thats my problem with her... she clearly heard them calling the cops but didnt let saeroyi know that they called the cops . Her choosing herself before anyone is perfectly ok but eh she is very selfish and she actually chose jannga over saeroyi in that scene.

zizijoonie

Soo-ah has always told Saeroyi who she is. She has her reasons and he understands (and to an extent, if I tilt my head and close one eye lol, I can too). He will just always give people the second chances he wished the world gave him (and his inevitable band of misfits).

Dasia

even before they called the cops she could've told him when she saw them through the window.

i recently watched another drama with seungkwon playing a polar opposite character so this is absolutely sending me

ODJKSKS i remember SCREAMING at the end.....yiseo a baddie fr

LMAAAOOOOO loved this reaction.

Realistically if Soo-ah wanted to really help Saeroyi she could have warned him. Cause she saw them call the cops so all she had to do was tell saeroyi that the cops were on their way so he could kick those guys out. So she didn’t call them directly but it’s still a bit shady for her to call herself a friend and just let it happen. But to each their own I guess, at least she owns that she is selfish.

I just wanted to clarify that since it is now revealed that Hyeon-Yi is transgender she goes by She/her pronouns now. It is not clarified in the show becuz Korean doesn’t particularily have gender specific pronouns and whenever they speak about someone they are technically always saying “They” and you can only really know which person (or gender) they are referring to if they use “Noona” “Oppa” “Hyung” “Unnie” etc. I believe you didn’t notice this since you guys don’t speak Korean but in the club scene when they find out Hyeon-Yi is trans and she gets up to leave, Geun-soo wants to call her back, he starts of by saying “Hyung”(older brother) first but then realizes and kinda tries “Noona” (older sister) you kinda see the dilemma of not being sure which one to use at the time, it’s the same confusion as when someone is confused whether to use She/Her or He/Him when they first find out. The “unnie” and “Noona” are translated either to their names or she/her.

I forgot Seungkwon pulls up the finger hearts at the club and cried laughing watching this 😭😭 The way Bryce laughed made it even funnier
