I agree with Bailey that Conrad has a very good reason for acting the way he is. Yet, I'm a believer in if someone shows you who they are, then believe them. So far we've seen Conrad be nothing but a complete jerk to Belly. While it may be out of character for him, he's still choosing to act this way and not only to Belly but everyone at the beach house. If he can't talk to his mom or Laural, the adults in this story, or to his brother, Steven or Belly, you can't tell me there is no one else in his life that he can't talk to. A teacher, mentor, family friend, or someone in a friend group outside of this story. I get why he doesn't for this storyline (plot point needed here). But people want to romanticize Conrad's angst and I just think that's not something we would want to encourage in young adults. What have we seen so far with Conrad and Belly's interactions? He's show jealousy, dismissive behavior and name calling. I like at the end of this episode, Belly starts to stick up for herself a little and call Conrad out on his behaviors.

Some reactors don’t pick up on that and then don’t really get his character either. You’ll find out about the mystery soon. Conrad gets better with each episode in my opinion. But I also just love complex characters lol Can’t wait to see more of your reactions to this show!
