Exactly!! 💯💯 especially that last sentence - clients are vulnerable and transparent with therapists… it’s an extremely intimate setting It’s actually very common for clients to develop feelings for their therapists. It’s called transference and every licensed therapist knows this. They literally have a code of ethics to abide by and yes this goes against that And it’s just sooo fucked for Ted

2023-07-22 07:41:04 +0000 UTCyeah definitely, it's one thing for a client to catch feelings but you as a therapist have every right to not pursue a relationship with your clients and to keep things professional and ethical. jacob was insanely unprofessional for pursuing it honestly like i'm pretty sure something like that would go against the rules of being a therapist bc you just have ALL of this personal information about them

2023-07-22 06:38:51 +0000 UTCI'm not a Michelle fan forsure, but the marriage therapist is soooo unethical. There's an unequal power dyanmic between therapist and client. A marriage and family therapist (any therapist) is supposed to recognize that and keep it completely professional.
