as horrible as august is and how evil he is for filming and posting that video, ik a lot of people including myself felt some sort of sympathy for august. i think the actor just does an amazing job at making august extremely flawed but human. sarah as well, she truly just kept quiet to benefit herself but her character is just so sweet at times so it’s conflicting.
