2023-09-19 15:48:21 +0000 UTCSo I’ve been thinking on this for awhile… but after reading the books, watching the show, and watching the guys’ reactions… I feel that Conrad did not expect them to have feelings for each other again. I think Conrad has been prioritizing other things such as losing the house and processing his own grief that he didn’t read into their interactions this season (literally the span of a week). For example, in episode 4 when Conrad mentioned it was good to see Jere and Belly being friends again. I don’t think he meant any harm to that, it’s just the way he saw it. Conrad went to his brother and expressed his feelings for Belly and then dated her for 7-8 months. Their breakup is also recent (like around 2 months ago). I don’t think the thought of them being together even crossed his mind after everything. So I can understand how it was such a shock to Conrad seeing the two of them together. We definitely can see in the finale how he tries to manage his emotions surrounding the whole predicament. ALSO, being a huge swiftie, there is a Taylor Swift song in the finale that plays at the perfect moment between Belly & Conrad where the lyrics match how Conrad is feeling. Absolutely loved that scene. Excited for the finale reaction !!!
