Se7en (1995) - Movie Night #89 FULL WATCHALONG

One of the brilliant things about this film is most of the murders are not on screen, we really only see a few of them and the rest we just have to imagine what happened to them which makes it even more disturbing, like Lust we never see the woman, all we do see is the weapon and it looks so gruesome. The scene when Sloth wakes up is such a great jump scare and that fact that he was still alive is crazy. And guys, Tracy wasn't trying to be weird or anything when she called Somerset. She was having a hard time and didn't know anybody, she just needed someone to talk to. She literally gave up everything to come there with him and you got to remember Mills chose to be re-assigned there and she was supporting him, gave up a job she loved. I always feel so bad for her, she was so sweet, it was because of her that Somerset and Mills got along a little better. Before then it was so awkward but afterwards they started to work together more, she wanted to break the ice with them, sure they still had their disagreements and argued but not like they did before that dinner. Some great fun facts: They were actually going to change the ending but Brad Pitt refused to be part of the film if they did so they kept it. Kevin Spacy is actually uncredited for this movie because he wanted to keep himself a mystery, he knew if he was listed everyone would be waiting for his appearance. And Brad Pitt actually broke his arm during the chase scene, he slipped and it went through a car window and they wrote it into the scene, so that injury is real. But I got to say, how do you not recognize Gwyneth Paltrow? She is Pepper Potts from Iron Man!
