although i’ve already watched this drama, i don’t remember the small details of the plot because its been such a long time since i first watched. so i’m tempted to binge watch the rest of the series soooo bad lmaooo but it’s fun rewatching it with y’all so i patiently wait for the uploads lol 😭

you guys seem to be a bit confused about the video of the reporter and the context behind it. i'm not sure how far ahead you are in the eps when you post, but just a reminder; while the 3 kids were in the house, they heard what sounded like a moan and the reporter playfully said it was a ghost and he was going to go interview it. he didn't follow the sister down the stairs. hyun soo also told him that if he had made a different choice back then, the serial killings would've stopped. i personally don't think this implies he killed someone but probably didn't report something he saw. i also want to point out a little frustration i have. you guys keep saying he doesn't have feelings or doesn't care about anything, but one of the best things about this episode are the expressions joon gi (hyun soo) shows on his face. you can see his anxiety and uncertainty when reading his wife's expressions both when she runs up to hug him and when she's clearly upset and wants to leave but he wants her to stay. while in the show he has stated and others have said about him that he doesn't feel anything or shows no emotions, he actually shows them quite a bit, and i think that's something the show tries to portray. he clearly gets upset, sad, happy, and content. even if he feels like he needs to pretend or force a smile, he's already shown that he can naturally portray happiness as well. i also think the wife's feelings are a little more complicated than simply being devastated that she was lied to and that her life with hyun soo was all a lie. while that's part of it, i think she's also feeling like the man she knew and fell in love with and had a child with has shown compassion and love, even if only to their daughter, and how that doesn't make sense with what everyone has said about him in their report. that's why she got so defensive with the deceased's wife, saying that hyun soo clearly isn't a psychopath and that she's not going to listen to the rumors being spread about him. she is of course hurt she was lied to, but she is also determined to find the truth since it's not as clear cut as so many people believe. also screw that cop who got stabbed. he should've died. sorry not sorry.
