Before Sunrise (1995) - (Special) Movie Reaction Early Access/Full Watchalong

Such a wonderful film, so glad you reacted to it and really, really hope you guys fo the whole trilogy. What Rob says, about it feeling like a poem, is a great way to describe it. It is a moment in time, a memory, life captured in a day. Beautiful.

The film is inspired by a woman named Amy Lehrhaupt, whom screenwriter and director Richard Linklater met in a Philadelphia toy store and with whom he walked around the city, chatting late into the night like in the movie. Linklater revealed that she had died in a motorcycle accident before the premiere of Before Sunrise.

worried I'm watching a directors cut or something but it keeps getting out of sync lol. Guess I need to always make sure I'm watching on the same platform.

One of my favorite movies. This is CINEMA. And it’s so impressive how the dialog sounds like improv but the majority of it is scripted! The conversations are so organic and natural feeling. Also, the whole film feels realistic, the plot itself sounds like something that doesn’t happen in real life, but everything that happens seems very plausible and that’s part of the magic of what makes it so good

One thing about this trilogy is that they talk a lot about time and memories and changing going forward. Each movie was filmed 9 years apart, and the changes in people show. I am the same age as Julie Delpy, actually, and watching these in real time in theaters has been quite a journey. When I've recommended this trilogy to people, I tell them to space the movies apart at least a month, to recreate at least some experience of waiting to see what happens next. I know that's agony for us viewers, but it will make the films more special.

We waited 9 years to know!

ugh such a beautiful film the dialogue and flow of the entire movie is just so well done, it just feels so real and all the conversations ahhh I cant wait for ya'll to eventually complete the trilogy

Love love love this movie and the reaction. One thing to consider is that while y’all know it’s a trilogy, it wasn’t known when it first came out (until the second was released). So a big part of the experience of this one was wondering what their future was with no promise of a definitive resolution.

Quick question, how long does it normally take for your discord account and Patreon link together? I feel like it has been taking about an hour, and it has, literally taken that long and it still isn't allowing authorization.

favourite romance movie ever

tala

the scene where they're in the listening booth and they keep missing eye contact, and you can tell they both want to kiss each other but they don't know if the other likes them enough to accept a kiss is actually my roman empire... i think about that scene constantly 😭😭

bella

Ahh can’t wait to watch
