The Legend of Korra is really cool too because while you still see these different fighting styles still, the TLOK characters incorporate kickboxing and MMA a lot more

2024-01-04 06:55:59 +0000 UTCAlso, because I just remembered, a fun fact!! Dante Basco (AKA the voice of Zuko) was in a breakdancing crew before he became an actor. Stylistically a lot of Zuko's firebending moves look like breakdancing, like Bryce pointed out, as a subtle nod to this.

I love that this show never really shies away from the brutalities of war and the cruelty that exists in the world without jeopardizing its humor and innocence or losing sight of its base audience. An actual masterclass.
