Dexter had a little bit of a Rue moment from Euphoria. Like just completely being awful to loved ones probably because the amout of drugs and alcohol being consumed. He was just projecting all his insecurities onto Emma. She didn’t deserve that.

2024-03-31 02:11:58 +0000 UTCyeah dex was fuckeddd this episode, feel like his biggest downfall is all the drugs and alcohol he consumes all the time. Time and space away can definitely help him recover so he could figure his stuff out bc he definitely wasn’t himself this episode. He was always addicted to drugs so I think his mom’s death just drove it over the edge and just decided not to care about anything anymore.

I feel like it’s safe to say that Dexter has reached rock bottom at this point. This ep reveals that his mom did pass away. I feel like Dexter was always going through existential problems from the beginning but with his mother’s health declining it further pushed him over the edge to the point we’re he’s depending on substances and drugs to numb the sadness and overall lack of purpose. He doesn’t have any real drive for anything at this point and is just moving through the stages as he goes. I feel like he needed this as some sort of a wake up call cause now that he ruined his friendship with Emma he doesn’t have any real people around him anymore. But I’m excited to see you react to the next couple of eps
