As characters though I love both Stefan and Damon but I feel like Stefan is so underrated. Damon was also HORRIBLE this episode. Mason didn't deserve that. Btw, do you know Mason's actor, Taylor Kinney, dated/was engaged to Lady Gaga? They met when he played her love interest in her music video for the song You and I. Taylor has been on the show Chicago Fire since 2012. Steven R. McQueen who plays Jeremy also starred in the show for a while. He is the grandson and namesake of legendary actor Steve McQueen who was popular in the 1950s to 70s. Steven is also cousin to Enrique Iglesias and Julio Iglesias Jr. And Matt Davis who plays Alaric was the douchebag boyfriend in Legally Blonde! Bonnie is definitely underused and so is Jenna and Alaric. Katherine is so evil but still so endearing and fun. At this point, I feel like it's just better to tell loved ones the truth because at least then they're in the loop and can't be as easily manipulated (compelled). Also, that scene between Caroline and her mum is so gut-wrenching but beautiful at the same time. Caroline is SO much better as a vampire than a human.

Also as much as I love Stefan I could never get over the stupidity of him jumping in that well without the slightest thought that it might be booby trapped because it was Mason that put it there, lol. He was Fried when they pulled him out lol I couldn't help but laugh.

With all of his grief, some of his coping mechanisms ( drugs and sex ) maybe not the best for a 15 year old child.. He really needs some non vampire adult supervision.. in another state. He’d probably still find his way back to Mystic Falls which is great cuz I luv me some Jeremy.

It's such an important moment for them and their relationship. You can see how much it kills Caroline to wipe it from her memory.

Caroline & Liz down in the cell is one of my favorite scenes. When Liz tells Caroline that she has become this strong, confident person. Chef's Kiss!

The amount of town events Mystic Falls has is crazy. I liked the Liz/Caroline scenes, it's like they're having an honest conversation for the very first time in their lives but it's a shame it has to end *cries* "Can't have Bonnie, Elena and Caroline in the same scene together," lol Rob. But also great we finally got one after all this time. Cannot wait for the next episodes and for you guys to see them, I feel like the show lifts considerably from now.

2024-04-06 00:46:53 +0000 UTCYeah, Julie Plec, the showrunner, is well-known as a racist in this fandom, it shows up in Bonnie's storylines heavily. She uses Bonnie as a plot device to support other characters' storylines never giving her the value she deserves. If they need witchy stuff done, they make sure she's onscreen for just that, but then she's gone when she's not needed in that way. For many seasons, Julie would even keep Bonnie away from certain male characters to limit shipping as well, it was weird. Damon is a prime example, actually lol. They had insane chemistry, but their scenes were limited for this reason. Same with her and Stefan. All the male actors wanted their characters to have more scenes with her. But yeah, Bonnie goes through hell on this show and is very mistreated. That's why I haven't rewatched it in years. It gets pretty bad, but just remain aware. if Bonnie's storylines look iffy, Julie Plec is why. Watching your reactions made certain memories come back like I didn't even realize how she was barely there in season 1. It's insane because if there should be one character who gets tons of screen time besides the core three, it should be her!

I really enjoyed Tyler and Mason’s bonding and him having another male figure in his life. Gonna miss Mason. Definitely one of my favorite characters and I liked that he gave Tyler a familial foundation as his uncle after his father was killed. Another reason to not like Damon..I just feel like he can do so much evil and everyone turns their back to his evil. Love Stefan as a character as always..and of course Bonnie. I love her dynamic with Damon and she just makes the show a million times better with her presence. I’m glad the chemistry was picked up on because Kat and Ian have a lot of on screen chemistry. Also one more thing..I am all for Tyler. I love the werewolf storyline. Great reaction!
