SCRE4M was originally supposed to be the start of a new trilogy. Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson wanted Jill to get away with her crimes and for Sidney to survive but have amnesia and wouldn't remember that Jill was the killer. Then the following entry would have followed Jill to college, a la Scream 2, but then she starts being blackmailed by another Ghostface who knows what she did, leading to a Ghostface vs Ghoseface type situation. As much as I like Scream (2022) and Scream VI, I really wish we got the Emma Robert's trilogy that Wes and Kevin wanted to do. If only this one did better at the Box Office back then!

Makes sense because this was the last Scream movie Wes Craven directed & Kevin Williamson wrote. that duo is unmatched!!
