I thought it was beautiful too. Loved how much of Kate and Anthony we still got and honestly, watching Pen and Colin's story back from the very start gives it even more impact. There's so many little intentional moments from the actors that give weight to where they've ended up

Not saying Daphne and Simon and Anthony and Kate isn't in love. Ofc they are. But imho Colin and Pens love is different, because they were friends first. So for me that is real love.

It was so incredibly romantic, but also emotionally layered and really felt real and mature and complex, which made sense for two people who had been friends and navigating a new life together alongside her big secret. Colin's final speech is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard on screen. Lucky to stand by her side and soak up even a little bit of her light - that really got me. Good for you Colin. I also loved the focus on female relationships - Pen and her mother, Pen and Eloise, Violet and Lady Danbury, Pen's sisters, Pen and Genevieve. Lots of lovely dynamics. I've only read this book, but know the plot lines of others, so see where things are going and I think they made it pretty clear who is next so watch this space for that being made official! Nicola & Luke have confirmed they are back for season 4. Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley have said they'll do all they can to return, so I hope there's time in schedules for them to be there even if briefly.

I think Francesca was as dull as mud. And I’m not sure what they’re doing with Benedict. I don’t think they know either.

I honestly got emotional at the end cuz even tho i know its not the series finale, it feels like the end of an era because SO MANY THINGS have changed this season. it wasnt just a season about a love story, but so many characters have grown and matured and found themselves, LW is no longer a secret, at least 3 future storylines have been set up, its like now I dont know what to expect anymore. Its gonna be different but im excited

It shined in showing how both colin and pen had to fight to be happy with one another, and themselves as well. I'm glad you guys seemed to like it, your reactions are always my favorite to watch 🫶

The only thing I would change is the length of time he was mad at her for being LW, it makes sense but I just wanted more happy/romantic scenes between them! Eloise has a line about being back in time for lady B’s masquerade ball and apparently that’s where Benedict meets his true love in the book. Also heard theories that Francesca didn’t feel the butterflies with Kilmartin because she’s actually gay and doesn’t know it until she felt the sparks with Michaela - I believe this is a departure from the book where Michaela was Michael?

As far as Francesca meeting John's cousin goes, what happened to her is exactly what Violet described happening when she met Edmund - "When I first met your father, I could barely speak my own name. I was so taken by him. I stumbled over words most familiar -" ... "I thought that is what love must be like for everyone. Surprising, forceful, quick."
