Elena's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. People hate her for trying to sacrifice her life for her family and friends, and people hate her bc the Salvatores usually screw over her family and friends. Can't win.

You have to be REALLY confident in someone’s fixation on you to do that AND to convincingly tell him to leave you alone. What if he had been respectful and said, “I’ll give you your space for tonight.” and walked back toward the grill? What would she have done? “Wait! I didn’t mean to leave me alone NOW.” 🤣 Klaus can do all these horrible things but as soon as he makes puppy eyes at Caroline, we just fall apart. Awww! Look at him! Such a softer side! He loves her! And then he gets his feelings hurt and is burning more sketches of her and we’re all saying “poor guy”. 🤣 Klaus and Elijah are my favorites. If I’d been Elena, I would have definitely found a way to tell Elijah not to drink that champagne. She owed him one. Plus, he’s just a good man (mostly). I wouldn’t have been able to do anything to hurt him even if it meant getting rid of someone.
