I love Damon's growth from killing Jeremy in S2 to trying as much as he could to resist Kol's compulsion here. But Stefan isn't wrong by calling out Elena's hypocrisy. Damon DID kill Jeremy before (not even tried, he actually killed him) and that was without compulsion (the wording was a bit weird though because he was under compulsion here so a very different situation). He also killed and turned Vicki, killed Lexi, r*ped Caroline etc. I understand why it hurts Elena that Stefan is spending time with Rebekah but I can't stand her hypocrisy. She also literally stabbed Rebekah in the back, was behind the killing of her brother (Finn) and has been trying to kill her and the rest of her siblings, so Rebekah also has a reason to hate Elena. Anyway, I love sweet Stefan but I also love the rippah and this side of him (even though it hurts seeing him hurting), which I think is very different from the rippah because he's not killing people and he has his humanity on, which is evident by how much he is hurting and lashing out. He's also using Rebekah as a rebound which is of course not fair to her, but she didn't say no and was okay with it being just physical... Btw, in Ratatouille Remy was indeed the rat and Linguini was the guy. And Zuff's comment "He's in his Matt outfit" aka his football jersey and "Matt the being" absolutely killed me 🤣🤣

2024-10-11 11:07:40 +0000 UTCmany ppl take the scene of Elena and Stefan as her getting humbled but I see it as she's shocked stefan is acting different esp with someone who killed Elena. She's so used to the role he puts out so a change in shift ofc she's gonna question, yeah she lacks self awareness because its obvious why hes acting like this which is why the writers messed up again. Elena was written aware of the moments Damon was mad or mean to her s1-3 when she hurt his feelings. Stefan stop lying we know you still love her 😂he's being petty which he has every right to since he is hurt and wants his words to hurt her. Just like Damon and every other character does, their words cut deep every time. Some also think she was jealous, I don think she was jealous at all, she's been Damon Damon Damon this whole time. If I saw my ex with a girl I didnt get along or matter in fact KILLED ME.. id be asking why too. Stefan can say the same about Damon w Jeremy but it's different (no im not defending Damon, im talking about the writers choice to bring it up and compare Elena w damon and stefan w bex) he also loves Damon and knows the good in him which is why he never gives up on Damon. Like he saved Damon s2. So him saying it's the same as Damon and basically saying she shouldn't be around him makes no sense to me since it's not the same at all. Yes Damon has done bad things, did it stop stefan from loving him or giving up on him? NO. so I dont get why the writers wrote that part of the speech. Should've kept it about Jeremy and Elena. I also dont get why the writers would write Stefan saying it's the second time when he knows Damon was compelled here, should've just had him saying "and Damon killed Jeremy before and your with him.'

2024-10-10 00:54:20 +0000 UTCI love that in Damon’s own way, he tried to fight the compulsion. He kept warning Jeremy about it, and was telling Jeremy to shoot him in the heart. Damon was trying his very hardest to resist killing Jeremy. I love how in both moment he stopped when he heard elena. Her voice was able to bring Damon out of his trance both times.
