Only one part of it I’m not a fan of.

Logan Thompson

I was never a big fan of Jeremy so I didn’t really care when this happened. I think was more affected by Nina’s acting. When she fell apart and dropped to her knees after realizing he was actually dead. I was impressed. Makes me bawl all over again just from empathy. I cared a lot when Alaric died. That was a big one. So when she brought him up in this episode, I flinched a little when I first watched it.

Logan Thompson

Me neither. Elena cares so deeply for others and goes through so much trauma. Katherine is just a straight up bitch and betrays everyone over and over.

Amber Augustine

this I stand on

bella

the people who love Katherine but no humanity Elena doesn't make sense to me lol

bella

love no humanity Elena. she's spent 4 seasons caring about everything, carrying the weight of loss, feeling guilt for the lives of her friends and loved ones, carrying what others think, limiting herself to her full potential. I love no humanity Elena.

bella

Same. I’m so ready for this arc to happen. I’m glad some of us enjoy this side of her.

Amber Augustine

Honestly

Salma

i looooove no humanity elena

collette

I really cannot understand why people cannot just discuss this episode and always have to jump ahead and discuss that when the boys arent even there yet

Trisha Pillay

it’s really not my loss. thanks tho :)

luna

oh yeah she’s a TERRIBLE person and she was clearly too far gone. I only ever found it weird that tvd always put so much effort into redeeming their male villains but never the female ones.

Halima

The Bamon hug >

Salma

Some of these comments are annoying… let them watch and see for themselves. When they get to a certain episode then you can talk about it!!

Salma

Nina’s acting was so good!! Ready for no humanity Elena!!

Salma

4x16 is gonna be so fun...iykyk

Laney Tapia

I love no humanity elena too. I’m glad there is some of us out there that like this arc. You’re not alone.

Amber Augustine

I love it too. You’re not alone. No humanity elena is my favorite thing.

Amber Augustine

Nina’s acting in this episode always gives me chills

This episode was filled with much emotion for me. I have said it before but I pretty much became indifferent to Jeremy after the cheating with ghost Anna storyline so his death in particular didn’t hit me hard. But watching Elena go through the motions of processing his death DID hit me, and Nina Dobrev acted her ASS off in this episode. The part that made me the most emotional though was the small moment between Stefan and Damon. Anyone that knows me knows that Stefan and Damon are my babies, there’s nothing more important to me in this entire show than their relationship, and I absolutely loved how even though they aren’t on good terms at the moment, watching Elena lose her brother made Stefan want to tell Damon how much he loved him, and I loved how even though he didn’t say it, Damon still knew exactly what he was going to say. That small 2 minute scene is probably my favorite moment in the entire back half of this season (I’m lying, there’s another scene that tops it, lol). But it’s these small moments like these where you can see that Stefan is legit just a little brother that needs his big brother, it’s the purest form of love that makes me cry every time.

SAME i feel like ppl absolutely hated it or loved it and personally i loved it

j-l

rip the gilbert house you will be missed

j-l

judging by these comments i fear i might be the only one here who loves no humanity elena LMFAO to me its so fun to see her not gaf for once

j-l

she's a great villain but sometimes it frustates me that she's seen like the badass queen and elena like the cry baby when katherines it's the coward that has been running ever since and sacrificing everyone just to save herself, meanwhile elena it's such a brave girl that actually faces klaus and it's willing to sacrifice herself to save the ones that she loves

Melanie

and yes, she's a villain, i get the survivor thing and everything but sometimes she's just evil lol like she loves to put stefan and damon against each other knowing damn well that stefan loves his brother, but the writers want me to think that she loves stefan even though she is fixated to hurt the two people he loves the most? lol

Melanie

i will never understand steferine stans, stefan hated that woman 😭

Melanie

Yes yes and yes!!! Katherine is an AMAZING villain and she's so entertaining but she literally sexually abused Stefan and compelled him the entire time, including when she fed him her blood. She loves to toy with Damon's feelings and she doesn't seem to care when innocent people get hurt. Until this I thought she had some redeemable qualities but this was the last straw. Jeremy was a CHILD and she knows how much Elena has suffered (some of her doing) but she doesn't care.

Heida

your loss i loved it

a

I’ve been waiiting for this one and what better rxn setting than in your new home! Congrats guys!! ❤️

Ivelis

No emotion Elena was such an annoying phase for me. Like I hated to see her on the screen.

Lisa

Nina's acting in this episode is breathtaking. Especially when Damon tells Elena to turn it off and you can literally see the light in her eyes go away, as if her soul just left her. She should have won all the awards 👏🏻👏🏻 The pain of losing someone, especially after having lost so many people, to the point where you feel like it's too much and that you would rather feel nothing at all (even though that wasn't the intent), is all too relatable. Like someone else said, I don’t think Damon had bad intentions by doing it but more that it shows how he deals or doesn't deal with things. This episode felt like a real turning point in the series honestly. Burning the Gilbert house down with Jeremy's body inside and Elena turning off her humanity felt like the end of an era! Also, until this I thought Katherine had some redeemable qualities but this was the last straw. Jeremy was a CHILD and she knows how much Elena has suffered (some of her doing) but she doesn't care. Katherine is an AMAZING villain and she's so entertaining but she literally sexually abused Stefan and compelled him the entire time, including when she fed him her blood. She loves to toy with Damon's feelings and she doesn't seem to care when innocent people get hurt. Btw, this is the first time since she's turned that Elena disobeys a direct order from Damon - to not burn the house down - showing that the sire bond has been broken.

Heida

me too, i don't want to give the reasons yet because spoilers so i'm just going to say that she was so funny with her comebacks fjfkfkfk

Melanie

Give Nina Dobrev the Emmy. To be fair, I wouldn't want to live there either. I always look forward to a humanity-less character arc on TVD, they're so wild.

Cristy

i actually loved no humanity elena!! judging by the comments i’m in the minority

bateman bookworm

4x16 next... cause when you know you knoooow

Melanie

Ah no emotion Elena, she makes Katherine look likable.

Heidi Louise

also my defan feelings in this episode 🩷 they love each other so much i'm gonna cry

Melanie

I’m excited for the no humanity elena arc. It’s one of my favorite arcs. We get to see a different side to elena.

Amber Augustine

I love that Stefan and Damon moment on the porch. You can tell that Stefan wanted to say I love you to Damon without saying it. They can’t imagine how they would cope if they ever lost each other. It makes the episode hit that much harder. It shows how much they love each other.

Amber Augustine

It makes sense why Damon told her to turn it off. The pain that Elena was experiencing from losing Jeremy and everyone else in her family was overwhelming. Vampire emotions are heightened and so she must have felt absolute despair. Damon just wanted to take away that pain because it must have felt so unbearable to elena who feels grief more than anyone.

Amber Augustine

Nina’s acting in this episode was phenomenal. You can really feel the grief of Elena losing her whole family. I cry everytime elena cries. She suffers so much at such a young age. I can’t imagine the pain of losing her last remaining family. I will never understand why some people hate Elena and never will.

Amber Augustine

there's a reason elena has people who loves her and katherine doesn't.

Melanie

in a show where a lot of the characters do terrible things, katherine killing jeremy it's actually one of the worse imo. you know why? because she's literally the person who can understand elena the most, she knows damn well her pain because she also had to go through it, being damned since birth just because of the way she looks like? check. being chased by the most dangerous vampire in the world to be killed in a sacrifice? check. and what does she do? killing her only family left just like the way klaus did with her, i'm sorry but this is the episode that made me think that she doesn't deserve a redemption. i do like katherine, i really do, she's the essence of this show, but i like her as a villain, because that's what she is. i don't know why this fandom always defend her and says that everything she do is to "survive", killing jeremy to survive? lol (i'm not going to give spoilers to the guys about the "reason" of her wanting the cure, so i'm just going to say it's a freaking stupid reason lol) even if she had a good reason of wanting the cure, she didn't have to kill jeremy, she literally had vaughn in there to feed him his blood to silas, she just needed to knock jeremy off if he tried to stop her, but no, her pathetic ass wanted to hurt elena when she never did anything to her, like it would make sense if the mikaelsons did this because elena was involved in the death of two of their brothers (even though i have my own opinions about comparing the death of a 16 year old child and the death of a serial killer who already lived enough and the death of a man who has been more time in a box that in the real world). elena never did anything to katherine but she decides that she has to live with the same suffering as her, why? because she's salty that even with no family around elena still has people that cares about her and protects her? pathetic.

Melanie

fun fact the actor for stefan (paul) was married to the actress who played meredith (torey) but after they got divorced he started dating the actress who played hayley (phoebe)

gracie

I really don’t think Damon had any bad intentions by telling Elena to turn it off, but I do think that choice is a commentary on who he’s been since he turned into a vampire. Damon’s very avoidant, his first instinct is to run from his feelings. So it makes sense that when confronted with Elena’s grief and not knowing how to help her, his first instinct is to tell her to run from her emotions too.

Halima

ah yes ... no emotions elena ... strap yourselves in. i absolutely hated this version of her and ya'll will see why :) anyways rip jeremy ..

luna

Nina Dobrev did a great job this episode, Elena’s grief was palpable

Halima

YUHHHH!!!🤪

I.H.W.T

This episode is actually one of the more emotional episodes of this series to me bc i remember the anticipation when it dropped thinking jeremy would come back by end of this episode

Gabby

YES, good timing!!! just got back from work

Ida

I stayed up for this, I’m so glad it got posted on time😭😭😭Thank you!!
