2024-08-20 07:33:33 +0000 UTCI was really surprised when I saw it pop up on the feed, because huh? This is... definitely a movie that exists, like Bryce said! But then, it was such a good time to just relax and watch something that doesn't have to blow your mind or anything. It reminded me of so many C-tier movies I used to watch back in the 90s; like Malice, or Taking Lives, or A Stranger Among Us... just proficient, nicely-made, well executed films that are not Oscar material. I genuinely love that! I think there's a sense of hurry here, I feel it too, where I get anxious thinking "how are they going to waste a movie slot on this when they haven't seen [insert amazing movie here]", but then, it would be a bit exhausting to have to constantly be in a state of awe, wouldn't it? So here's to all the 'just okay' movies that definitely are movies that exist!
