2024-09-17 05:23:13 +0000 UTCGreat reaction! Canaan is one of my favorite characters in the show and I like the idea of him and Kimberly together. I don't think Canaan and Whitney ever really worked. They started together literally just because he was the first hot guy she saw and propositioned for sex when she was mad at the coach and then only lasted actually dating for one day. It was kind of a shit show it just seemed better compared to her only other two love interests (the creepy coach and awkward BioBro). Canaan was the only good guy who treated her well, but that doesn't make them a good couple. We've seen Canaan and Kimberly growing their friendship after spending time together everyday over two seasons. It doesn't feel out of nowhere for two friends to develop feelings for each other as they continue to grow closer and get more vulnerable with each other (like we saw in this episode). That is very common and feels like a natural progression. I do hope if the show decides to go there with Canaan and Kimberly they actually take it seriously and don't just use it to cause drama with no emotional payoff. Obviously it is always a dangerous thing to have feelings for a friend's ex.

I also miss Leighton with Alicia and I feel like this episode showed just how much Leighton has grown as a person and is in a place in her life where she feels comfortable being her true self and Tatum is just a reminder of the old Leighton that she doesn't want to be anymore
