As the biggest Delena shipper, I hate them in S5 just as much as yall. They have a lot of cute moments, but this season was doing all types of nonsense with them, especially towards the back half. I was so over them this episode. Their chemistry doesn’t come back until like episode 20

They made them toxic in terms of breaking up and making up a lot this season and I can totally understand why people are put off from them this season. Writers were def focusing only on the tension and attractiveness Ian and Nina have when filming scenes like these. But it made delena's story from s1-4 diff compared to s5 IMO

She couldn't stop seeing him and she didnt wanna harm an innocent person. Those 12 witches I believe were harming bonnie. Tom didnt hurt stefan, the travelers were.

They also are each other's ride or dies, they confide in each other, they trust each other, they always defend each other, Caroline is the only one stefan doesn't hesitate to dance with even with no memories and IMO stefan and care have been their true selves with each other esp stefan. He lets loose, he laughs and she makes him smile. They make the most sense and you can see from s1- now the slow process of why ppl ship them. Someone whos not a fan can even see it !!
