Ore & Gemstones Description:
The ground shakes, dust swirls, and rocks rain as a monstrous spike of stone stabs down through a tear in the sky. Carbuncles and stalagmites bubble up like boils from stone while hulking monstrosities emerge from the ground.
A rift to the Plane of Earth has opened above a clear lake surrounded by snow-capped alps and grassland. The elemental energy of the rift has turned the area arid and barren. The lake has completely dried, and the absence of water has created a drought, causing the surrounding grasslands to wither. Earth elementals burrow throughout the drylands absorbing any moisture they come in contact with, whether it be from morning dew collecting on blades of grass or the blood of living creatures that once called this place home.
The desiccation of the lake doomed many but created an opportunity for some. Prospectors have arrived to excavate the area. Stone spires burst with precious minerals and gems clearer than ice. These riches are bountiful but act as a trap to lure the greedy into the grasp of invaders from the Elemental Plane of Earth.
