What's the next on Patreon?
Added 2020-04-27 06:56:37 +0000 UTCAlright, so I have a schedule set for releasing videos. Gonna keep my trap shut and just roll them out and see how this goes. I would, of course, love to know what YOU guys want to see. Obviously Sonic comics and games are getting coverage. I have that planned out. Don't fret on that. I'm more interested in what else you guys might like to see.
I've been getting a lot of requests for Ristar, not sure WHEN I will cover it but that is on the list. I did promise a dinosaur related thing will be coming up shortly. I am also planning a video about FF7 Remake's controversial ending.
Even if you've requested it before, request again. I'm finally finding some sense of organization and plan to step up the output.
I also wanted to know what you guys wanted to see next in terms of Patreon rewards. Right now all we have is early access to Sonic Speed Reading. I have danced around some art related rewards, have literally 100 episodes of an old podcast I used to do if anyone is interested to see what sort of stuff I got up to prior to the show, hell I'd love to start a NEW one if I can find consistent co-hosts. These are all ideas I would love to do, it's really just a matter of how much time is in a day. The top priority is getting more videos out and sticking to a schedule.
Also wanted to know if you guys would like shout outs at the end of videos. I know that's a pretty common one, I generally jump off videos when names are being read, so again, want a feel of the room before going forward.
Last thing, thank you guys for participating in the Discord. This week we are going to open it up for everyone. All the participating patrons in it are going to get a special title for basically beta testing the thing, and the patron exclusive "resort island" room.
For now I'm still not going to do tiers. I will eventually, especially if I end up doing some exclusive art rewards, but for now, we are keeping the rewards open to all you folks who are kind enough to support this channel. Times are tough and throwing your hard earned money my way is a huge ask. So I hope these goofy little rewards make it worth your while.
Thanks again guys. Toot toot!

Generally, either classic games or games based on classic IP. I loved the Jurassic Park/Lost World stuff just as much as the Sonic stuff. Personally I'm always into Megadrive/Genesis content, which may be a fairly popular subject given the Sonic focus. Also a big fan of PC games, which may be more of a stretch. Specific video requests: - Ecco (especially Tides of Time, which doesn't get nearly enough attention despite being one of the best 2D games of the '90s) - Earthworm Jim - Primal Rage - Chaotix - The flotilla of interesting Disney-based games that popped up on 16-bit systems - Taz: Escape From Mars because I could never finish the damn thing - Alien series games - Star Wars series games - Unreal, Tribes, later Jedi Knight games, UT2004, Doom 2016/Eternal (bucking the trend there, but the connecting theme being that the advanced movement in these games is arguably an evolution of the physics-intensive platforming in '90s 2D games such as Sonic.) I think the important thing though is that it's something you're passionate about. IMO, it doesn't matter how distantly related the subject is to what you've done previously so long as it's something you can really make a kickarse video about. And yeah, the podcast sounds interesting!
