Its been a while so I just wanted to post some updates on Project RevIVe. The project is alive and well and we've been working hard. Current progress is working with a new vertex AO process to update IV's map assets with vertex AO to give LC more depth. All assets interact with each other when applying vertex AO so you will see darker areas under bridges, overpasses, in parks, and much more. Along with vertex AO work, all vegetation is being updated along with new LOD's so vegetation will have a much farther draw distance plus have reflections on surfaces.
Also, all map assets will now include normal and specular maps along with their LOD's. These maps were missing on many objects so IV will now have more detail on everything. New lighting is also added as an example on Brownstones included in the above screenshot. New lighting will also be added in interiors such as Roman's Apt. along with new emissive textures on assets such as the outdoor patio heaters and much more.
