He had to have known what Mikael was doing to Klaus all those years so even though he might’ve been a great leader for his pack, he was definitely a terrible father.

It really expanded his character for me on first watch there was even a short series about kols time in New Orleans called awakening or something that gave even more but sadly wasn’t in the full show but excited to see more!
