I think I'm pretty good at making an effort to not spoil things while watching with others for the first time - would not have been able to do so with this one apparently because I started crying as soon as the swing showed up 😂😭 heartbreaking to watch as a child but also so much sweeter to watch as an adult looking back on their imagination and whimsy

2025-01-14 08:59:42 +0000 UTCThis movie never fails to make me cry 💔😭 But always good to be reminded just what a phenomenal child actor Josh Hutcherson was! He was also great in Zathura and Journey to the Center of the Earth. AnnaSophia Robb WAS in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, she played Violet. Fun fact: She sings a song in the ending credits called Keep Your Mind Wide Open. But yeah, the teacher thing is a bit weird and mainly because, if you flipped the genders, most people would have an obvious reaction to that, but somehow it doesn't feel as creepy here? 🤷🏼♀️
