2025-02-28 19:05:23 +0000 UTCif you think about it, klaus trauma is 50% made by his parents and the other 50% by aurora/elijah so this is kinda the big thing, in the flashbacks we can see that klaus is this insecure man that have low self-steem and craves for approval and love, that's all mikael and esther's doing yet we can see that he wasn't the paranoid and distrustful klaus we know, his sibling looked more worried about mikael finding them than him, also he trusted his siblings, everything changed that night aurora broke his heart, the fact that the woman that he showed his darkest secrets yet still claimed she loved him the way he was, one night said that he was a monster and that everything was a lie is the main thing that made him trust no one, not even his siblings, because if aurora betrayed him then everyone would, elijah didn't know at that time but because of what he did, he cursed his siblings and himself to a merciless brother that would dagger them and kill everyone they love for fear that they would abandon him
