From my understanding of Judaism, the children of a couple can only be Jewish if the mother is Jewish. That’s why the old head rabbi said that the Jewish race would be extinct if everyone marries a shiksa. The reasoning is because the Jewish people have been targeted for eradication throughout history so their goal is to regrow the numbers by two Jewish people marrying each other and having children.
