The writers made....choices these last few seasons. Choices that I do not agree with.

Heidi Louise

Oh yea for sure honestly I think if they thought they had time they would’ve it was a impossible situation

Goat

Oh, I see. Fair enough. The "Red Door" was an interesting concept that I think the showrunners should have explored further than they did but I totally get where you're coming from about Elijah's hypocrisy and veiled honor. I do think the moral greyness makes for better characters though. However underdeveloped their arcs may be.

ijbol

yeah, that’s what I mean. they could’ve done the circle thing with another witch which is a plan they would’ve come up with if they didn’t see Davina as expendable.

Halima

And so Elijah falls a few more pegs. I hate what the writers did to one of my favorite characters

Heidi Louise

I think it’s because she was in that circle it was explained that because of that they had a connection to the ancestors that way and they could use that to get Freya the power she needed so I don’t think they could’ve unless there was someone else in the circle

Goat

lowkey they could’ve killed any other witch and did what they did with Davina, they just saw her as expendable which is why marcel and kol were mad

Halima

I see what you’re saying, but I also don’t agree with what they did but I think a lot of ppl started to hate them because of it but just because it was a character they liked, but look the other way when it’s a new villain or like marcel said maybe they were the villains (which they are) in others stories I just want ppl to try to understand why they do what they did because they always do put family first just like their tvd brethren’s

Goat

I would have. But am i the Mikealsons who has well deserved enemies including lucien? No lmao, and actually no i probably wouldn’t even i don’t even like my family and if it were to protect my brothers girlfriend who is a child btw yes i absolutely would’ve let lucien do his thing

Brooklyn La Mar

So every person they killed in the name of family since season 1 they were to just all of a sudden change and be different and if you had to choose between your family who you love whole heartedly you’d have made the same choice

Goat

Tbh yes, the mikelsons have lived long enough destroying everything in their path

Brooklyn La Mar

Team Klaus and Elijah always and forever

Jamie

I actually don’t really like them that much😭

Brooklyn La Mar

none of them deserve redemption tbh, both are terrible, the thing i wanted to say in my comment is that at least we've always saw klaus as the villain that he is, i like the changes that cami, hayley and especially hope made in him, i want him to be a good dad for hope, yet that doesn't change that he's one of the most psychopatic creatures ever like you said, yet me personally never considered elijah a villain till i've started TO, for me he was a very powerful vampire that unlike his brother, he had codes, honor and can be kind with innocent people, yet now we know that he has killed a lot of innocent people, that he is indeed a psycho like his brother (that whole red door thing) and that he betrays people. so about your question of who is worse, the most obvious answer will be klaus yet at least he always shows himself as what he is instead of costuming like a honorable man and then stab you in the back

Melanie

so excited for the finaleeeee #teammarcel

Laney Tapia

Right like gtfo please! 😭

Salma

So should they have let Lucien live kill all the Mikaelsons and end the show at season 3 then? (Not saying that I think what they did was right)

Goat

(Just wanna say the "is this a spoiler" clarification is real af. I be having to bite my tongue every reaction before I spoil everything. Patreon should have a white-out, click-to-reveal feature like Reddit, methinks.)

ijbol

Genuine question: who's worse Elijah, or Klaus? I don't ask this to sound confrontational btw (and I've never been much of a stan for individual characters in a show). I just think the answer to the question is revelatory. Basically, I think if you can conceive of a redemption path for Klaus (literally one of the most insane psychopathic creatures, even by vampire standards), then your inability to see Elijah in that light is proof of bias (which you're entitled to lol, we all have our preferences), not "objective" appraisal of the character's actions/flaws.

ijbol

Hayley’s reaction is crazy considering Marcel saved her life as a baby, saved Hope’s life and saved Hayley’s life AGAIN this season 😭 You couldn’t be mad at Elijah for at least one day??

Halima

oh i'll love to see how your point of view on some characters might change...

Marina

In every word, I stood by Marcel. While this is the second episode that Elijah has lost points with me. Although many think otherwise, I understand what Hayley said, Klaus was cruel to all the siblings, he killed Elijah's girlfriends and he never left Klaus side. I know we've grown fond of Marcel and that's why it's harder to understand what she meant. I understand and agree with her, but I don't agree with Elijah (I even hate him for doing what he did to Davina and Marcel) is that understandable?

Marina

Davina and Kol deserved to be happy, after everything they had been through in their lives. Kol was used in a dirty way by the ancestors to punish Davina, he tried everything not to hurt her and unfortunately that wasn't possible :( My eternal Kolvina, like Bonenzo, that couple I never imagined I would need.

Marina

I remember how at the beginning of the reactions it seemed that at any moment Klaus might kill Marcel, but yet he never did. This season, as Klaus changed, it became much clearer that he would never dare, under any circumstances. Marcel was his son, Klaus loved him (I believe that of all the family, only he and Rebekah would never do something like that).

Marina

I always felt so bad for Marcel his feelings for sure are valid.

Madison

I just couldn’t believe what Elijah did there he pulled out Marcels heart!!! It truly shocked me. Marcel will come back mad and strong and I’m here for it.

Salma

Righttt!!

Salma

Marcel was speaking nothing but straight facts this episode! Marcel and Vincent always be standing up to the Mikaelsons!👏🏾

Salma

also klaus saying "you sound like camille" well no 😂 cami would never say that, she would absolutely despise elijah for killing marcel

Melanie

Hayley girl what are you talking about? Her saying to Klaus that he needs to forgive Elijah because of all the things he’s done as if any of that is even CLOSE to killing Marcel! Klaus been saying he’s my son! Everyone knows that! That Haylijah scene wtf was that!!! That was not needed!! Not the time!🤦🏾‍♀️ Hayley’s reaction to Marcels death was bad

Salma

Right

Brooklyn La Mar

It’s so funny how at the start the series you guys would be like “why doesn’t Klaus just kill marcel I don’t get it” and now it’s “I don’t think klaus has it in him to kill marcel”, what a journey!

Halima

Right like wtf was that!!!

Salma

Yess words straight out of my mouth!! Couldn’t agree more 💯

Salma

She was talking bout “your family” ok… I truly wonder if it was solely Kols life in danger if klaus would allow cami to die or Hayley for Elijah (Hayley a little different I admit)

CEEKAY

Even if Elijah hadn’t interrupted I don’t think Klaus would’ve been able to talk Marcel down. Klaus was always going to respond with anger and an attempt to dominate which is a huge trigger point for Marcel as someone who experienced subjugation for most of his life whether it was at the hands of his father/slave master or the Mikaelsons themselves. On the bridge, Marcel didn’t go from angry to raging because of Cami or Davina, it wasn’t until Klaus reverted to trying to control him.

Halima

Yes! That was so jarring to me I rolled my eyes

CEEKAY

Man that bridge scene is one of my favorites as well. Marcel is a top character for me and I was on his side for most of this there’s a few things he does next (is this a spoiler) that I didn’t fully agree with but overall I was with him I really liked that closure kol and Davina scene felt necessary for where there last conversation was. Can’t really gauge your guys’ opinion on kol as a character but I personally felt bad here cause he was being used as a medium to kill Davina and he’s gotta live with that a lot of self guilt there But yea can’t wait for the finale

CEEKAY

the only positive thing about cami's death is that she isn't here to witness this mess, she would probably curse elijah with some of her dark objects (as she should!)

Melanie

i felt like bryce when i watched this episode, i know you guys absolutely love elijah and he was also my favorite original in tvd, yet when i watched TO i realized that maybe i idealized him too much, i used to be mad that they "ruined" him in TO yet i realized that even before we discovered that whole red door thing, there were already so many clues in tvd showing to us that his main feature wasn't "honourable man" thing that most of us thought, his main feauture always was his obssesive co-dependecy to klaus, and i say klaus and not family because he has watched all the abuse that rebekah faced by klaus and he didn't gaf, he also let klaus kill all his romantic partners (queen celeste was always right!) and let klaus do whatever he wants, doesn't matter who gets hurt in the way, all this in the name of his obsession to his brother's redemption i still like him but he will never be the honourable elijah that tvd made me think he was

Melanie

that pissed me off sooooo bad like wtf 😭

Halima

Honestly, it must feel almost insulting to Marcel when any of the Mikaelsons refer to him as family at this point. Even Hayley gets treated more like family than he does. Freya too despite knowing them for a year while Marcel has known them for over 2 centuries. Fact is, Elijah never would’ve done to Hayley what he did to Marcel, nor would Klaus have ever sacrificed Cami to save himself and that says it all.

Halima

what were the writers thinking when they decided to make that haylijah scene after marcel's death like BFKFKFKGKFKF

Melanie

This is the episode where Elijah became firmly on my shit list and unfortunately he never got off it ☹️

Halima

This season IS so conflicting and that’s partly why it’s my favorite lol. Elijah seeing the Prophecy unfold before his very eyes as Marcel rants and then killing him, despite what Marcel has meant to their family since the start, gave me nipple chills 😂😂

Jakari24

Kol did not have to eat freya up like that

Brooklyn La Mar

Isn’t he always LMAO god i love him

Brooklyn La Mar

the thumbnail is killing me I already know Bryce is imitating Vincent or Elijah 😭😭😭

Halima

LET’S GO

Halima

AHH YESS!!
