Behind The Scenes: Five Years of Pony

I worked through several ideas before coming up with the final piece that was released yesterday. Some involved the number 5, and a wooden statue of Twilight. But I figured (by the time I finished it) that a fifth anniversary would be a nice time to commemorate Lauren Faust's original contributions to the show.
Here we have the wooden Twilight (she wooden go), and the original vector test for Lauren Fausticorn. She's taller than Celestia, based on fanon, but I made her more slender (less body width).
This piece also marked the adding of Mayor Mare to my repertoire. We needed somepony official to officiate the unveiling after all.
