Is Flash's eyes weird? Is him holding his cone with a wing weird?

Flash is a wing coner... as far as the eye, I think maybe one would expect the iris to be more oval in a slightly upper left-to-lower right direction...otherwise it looks like it might possibly be looking almost backwards. I suppose it's just an awkward thing to draw with his neck turned way one direction and looking back at that particular angle. I mean it really didn't seem to weird until you brought it up...
