Merry Week-of-Christmas! Some Updates-

I hope you all are having a wonderful week! I can't believe that Christmas is THIS weekend!

My hope is to finish up the Manic album before Christmas Day. I want to do something on YouTube tomorrow, so I will probably get to "Still Learning" on Friday and finish up with "929" on Saturday. This is all tentative as this time of year is crazy! I do want you all to know that I love you, and I am forever grateful to each and every one of you!

Tomorrow, I will probably post a poll regarding which album we will cover next! Feel free to comment any ideas below!

Comments

I have commented this before but I would die for “you signed up for this” 😂 Although I also like the idea of “Harry’s House” as other people have mentioned, he be saying stuff that I need to understand in depth 🤭

I would love of you did another Halsey album (I think you would love Hopeless Fountain kingdom as it is very literature heavy and she even quotes Shakespear! If I Can't Have Love I Want Power is another good album and is so full of symbolism but I would recommend reacting to it in one sitting and then watching the movie made to match the album right after but I understand that you might not have the time to do that!) If you want to do a different artist I would also love it if you did more Lana Del Rey blind reactions! Lana uses so many allusions (especially in her album Born to Die she mentions the book Lolita in multiple songs) and loves symbolism and is such a talented storyteller! I would also love if you could react to Conan Grays new album Superache (although fair warning I cant hear that album without sobbing)

Any other halsey album would be great but honestly I agree with Harry's House by Harry Styles or maybe All 4 Nothing by Lauv

If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power by Halsey is a beautiful album that focuses on her journey through pregnancy and childbirth of her son. Some other options: Norman Fucking Rockwell by Lana Del Rey Harry's House by Harry Styles is another good one Solar Power by Lorde

If KP were to do Florence, I think How Big How Blue How Beautiful would be the best option -- but Dance Fever would definitely be my second choice for the reasons you listed! I agree High as Hope might be a little somber for the channel lol.

Just a small bit of context on these 3 albums I chose, whether for KP or anyone else: HBHBHB by Florence is an alternative pop & rock album. Florence is an amazing lyricist (seriously, LOTS to analyze here) with a very powerful voice. NFR by Lana is an alternative pop record with a relatively laid back and beachy sound. Lana is a poet with her words and her voice is so serene to listen to. Golden Hour by Kacey is a country/pop record that is very dreamy to listen to, and I think Kacey has some simple lyrics but the metaphors are really solid and she sings beautifully.

I think there are 3 specific albums I would love to hear your analyses on: 1. How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful - Florence and the Machine; 2. Golden Hour - Kacey Musgraves; 3. Norman F Rockwell - Lana del Rey. I hope posting these doesn't seem overwhelming lol, I just wanted to offer 3 options that maybe a few of the other subscribers would also be interested in seeing/hearing. If none of them get chosen that's ok, I look forward to whatever comes next :) Happy Holidays and thanks for all that you do!!

I believe Dance Fever would be better since it’s not as dark as High as Hope. I feel High as Hope would be too heavy for KP. All of Florence’s albums are immaculate, however, Dance Fever is more theatrical like a play and not as dark and raw as the other albums; which hopefully would be more fun for her to analyze.

Please do Dance Fever by Florence and the Machine!!

I think some Florence and the Machine would be really good - she's so poetic, maybe high as hope or dance fever (her latest). Merry Christmas!!

I feel like you would really enjoy Hayley Williams’ solo album “Petals for Armor”. I know you’ve mentioned liking Paramore in the past, and it’s an album that has a lot of really deep meaningful songs with plenty to unpack. Happy Holidays and looking forward to the videos!

Happy holidays to you and yours! I really enjoyed your Manic journey. I'd love to see more Halsey, but Id also love to see an analysis of Kesha's High Road album from 2020, or Noah Cyrus's The Hardest Part that released Sept 2022. Have a great holiday!

Im loving manic and i forgot how coffesional it was. I feel like often overlooked Jagged Little Pill from Alanis Morissette was a ground breaking album and clearly an inspiration. Or Hopeless Fountain Kingdom
