Just for people new to TVD, you have to watch Season 8 before you watch season 5 of TO bc it would spoil TVD. If they watch in order or finish TVD first there is nothing to worry about. They were both live when I got to season 4 of TVD. Also, are you going to give Legacies a try after TO?
